After residency, Dr. Dola served as registrar and acting registrar at San Fernando General Hospital, and later as a consultant radiologist at Sangre Grande General Hospital, where he led the department and contributed to postgraduate medical education as an associate lecturer at the University of the West Indies. His early medical experience also includes working as a duty medical officer at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, India, and as a house officer at the Princes Town District Health Facility in Trinidad and Tobago, where he gained broad clinical exposure in emergency medicine, minor surgical procedures and acute care. To further specialize, Dr. Dola completed multiple fellowships in the United States, including neuroradiology and advanced neuroradiology at George Washington University, as well as pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology at Children’s National. He holds FRCR (UK) certification and successfully passed the American Board of Radiology core examination. Dr. Dola has a strong academic and research record, with peer-reviewed publications, invited manuscripts and presentations at international conferences, particularly focusing on congenital inner ear malformations, pediatric brain tumors, inborn errors of metabolism and cost-effectiveness in radiology. He has also contributed to AI projects with the Radiological Society of North America. A committed educator and clinician, he is a current/past member of several professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, the Society for Pediatric Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Royal College of Radiologists and the Radiological Society of Trinidad and Tobago.
