Overview
Vivian Uzonwune, CRNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in behavioral health. In my role, I routinely assess risk factors such as suicidality, self-harm, substance misuse and psychosis and implement appropriate safety planning.”|Ms. Uzonwune earned her Doctor of Nursing degree from Wilmington University in Delaware.|She notes that seeing improvements in her patients’ quality of life from the care she delivers brings her joy.|“Early in my career, I worked in a nursing home as a caregiver, and I saw patients with dementia, depression and anxiety,” she says. “I felt the need to go into the mental health field and that was how the journey started.”|Originally from Nigeria, Ms. Ozonwune moved to the U.S. in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and children.
