Dr. Wendy Badgwell earned her medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine and pediatrics in Kentucky at the University of Louisville and a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at The Ohio State University. Dr. Badgwell, who is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, has been in practice since 2003. She treats patients from birth through 18 years old. Her primary clinical interests are general pediatrics and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as infant and toddler growth and development. A friendly, approachable and empathetic physician, Dr. Badgwell loves interacting with her patients and their parents. She likes to take time with them, make sure all their questions are answered and find available resources for them. She practices evidence-based medicine and educates families so that, together, they can come to the best decisions about children’s health. Dr. Badgwell serves as medical director of Project One Day (a nonprofit that provides free childcare for children 6 weeks to 3 years old from low income, single families). She is a member of the Texas Pediatric Society, Harris County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. A resident of the Texas Medical Center area, Dr. Badgwell is married and the mother of three children. Away from her practice, she enjoys exercising, teaching Sunday school at her church and volunteering at Casa El Buen Samaritano, plus being a mom and shuttling her children to their activities.
