Dr. Schaaf is a graduate of the Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Pennsylvania Hahnemann School of Medicine). He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA, where he served as chief resident. He also completed his pediatric radiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. His special interests include cardiac imaging. His research on using magnetic resonance sleep studies to predict the success or failure of genioglossus advancement in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea was selected for presentation at the Society for Pediatric Radiology in April 2009.

Dr. Pearl is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, a Senior Member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and a member of the Core Steering Group for the Children’s Brain Tumour Drug Delivery Consortium, an international, multidisciplinary network of clinicians and researchers dedicated to developing drug delivery systems for children with brain tumors. Dr. Pearl is available for patient and physician consultation, image review, and sees patients at Children’s National in her clinic by appointment.
