Dr. William H. Harvin

A native Houstonian, Dr. William Harvin attended medical school at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston where he also completed his residency. He went on to complete an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Harvin specializes in orthopedic trauma with an emphasis in multiligament knee injuries and knee preservation, including limb realignment as well as meniscus and cartilage transplantation. His clinical interests include complex periarticular fractures, open fractures, nonunion and malunions, surgery of the pelvis and acetabulum. Dr. Harvin currently helps provide medical coverage for Rice University, where as a student, he was an all-conference lineman. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a candidate for membership in the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
