"My dream at the age of 18 was to become a professional baseball player. I was All-Conference as a freshman at Ursinus College and majored in pre-med as a ""backup plan."" I transferred to Baylor University, and fortunately, as it turned out, I was not good enough to make the higher level team. I therefore concentrated all of my efforts into my academic studies. I had come to realize that my energies were better placed into working toward caring for others.
