Eric Wallen is Professor and Chair of the Urology Department at MUSC. His clinical work is focused on patient-centered delivery of care to patients with urologic malignancies such as prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer. He is an expert in robotic surgery with over 20 years of experience. Prior to assuming the chair position at MUSC he was Professor, Vice-Chair of Education, Program Director, and Medical Director of System Supply Chain at UNC Chapel Hill. He graduated from Yale College with a degree in political science and received his MD from the University of California, Los Angeles. His urologic training was completed at Stanford University. Outside of healthcare, Dr. Vandenberg enjoys tennis, skiing, fishing and spending time with his wife, four children and grandson.
