Overview
Wolfgang Kienzle, DPM, first became interested in medicine at a young age, as he often visited the doctor for various sports injuries. At Shawnee High School, he played football, basketball, soccer and track. Through his frequent athletic injuries, Dr. Kienzle learned the sources of foot and ankle pain and treatment plans that help bring relief. He carries that same passion today, specializing in treatment related to conditions of the foot, ankle and lower extremities for both adults and adolescents. Dr. Kienzle finds joy in seeing his patients get back on their feet and enjoying activities they love without foot and ankle discomfort. Dr. Kienzle enjoys building relationships with his patients and collaborating on their health decisions. Born and raised in Shawnee, Dr. Kienzle earned a bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Oklahoma before completing a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, N.Y. Prior to joining SSM Health, he completed a podiatry residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and served as Chief Resident during his program. Dr. Kienzle is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has been published several times for his foot and ankle studies. After growing up in Shawnee, Dr. Kienzle is delighted to return home to his hometown. He connects with SSM Health's Mission of providing exceptional care and enjoys giving back to the Shawnee community however he can.
