With advanced education and training in both psychiatry and nutrition, Xiaomiao takes an integrative approach to care, recognizing the relationship between psychological well-being, physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, and environmental factors.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University, Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University, and PhD in Nutrition from the University of Toronto, and completed fellowship training at Cornell University. She also serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Emory University School of Nursing. Her approach is warm, non-judgmental, collaborative, individualized, patient-centered, and trauma-informed. She works closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans and strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
