Dr. Yash D. Shah

Dr. Peter Rowe is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is the inaugural Sunshine Natural Wellbeing Foundation Professor of Chronic Fatigue and Related Disorders and serves as the Director of the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Related Disorders Program at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. His areas of clinical expertise include chronic fatigue syndrome and other disorders characterized by fatigue and orthostatic intolerance. Dr. Rowe and his colleagues were the first to describe the relationship between myalgic ecephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and treatable orthostatic intolerance syndromes, as well as the association between Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and ME/CFS. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, Dr. Rowe earned his medical degree at McMaster University Medical School in Ontario. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins and completed his fellowship in General Pediatric Academic Development. He was on the staff at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario from 1987-1991 before returning to Johns Hopkins in 1991. Dr. Rowe’s research focuses on the physiologic factors (circulatory dysregulation, allergic disorders, joint laxity, biomechanical strain, and neuroanatomic problems) that contribute to chronic fatigue as asymptom, and to ME/CFS and long COVID as conditions. In 2014, Dr. Rowe received the research award from the International Association for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (IACFS/ME) for his clinical and scientific work on chronic fatigue syndrome and related disorders. He is a member of the research advisory council for Solve ME/CFS. He is also a member of the American Pediatric Society, the Society for Pediatric Research, the Canadian Pediatric Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Anisha Abraham, MD, MPH, is a board-certified pediatrician, adolescent medicine specialist and chief of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine. Over the last 25 years, she has held a variety of clinical, teaching, public health and leadership roles including serving as Chief of Adolescent Medicine at both Georgetown University Hospital and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Abraham has a passion for education and is the recipient of several faculty teaching awards. Dr. Abraham’s clinical interests include eating disorders, obesity prevention and supporting cross-cultural youth. She has published her research in a number of peer-reviewed journals including Pediatrics and the Journal of Adolescent Medicine. She is also a Tedx speaker, the author of the book Raising Global Teens: Parenting in the 21st Century, and a health contributor to media outlets including CNN, NPR, Fox News, and the Washington Post. Dr. Abraham completed medical training at a six-year MD/BA Program at Boston University, a pediatric residency at Walter Reed Hospital, an adolescent medicine fellowship at Children’s National and an MPH at George Washington University. Prior to joining Children’s National in January 2021, Dr. Abraham spent 10 years living in Hong Kong and the Netherlands. Dr. Abraham was on faculty at the School of Public Health at Chinese University and helped bring public health teams to developing countries. She also was on faculty of Adolescent Health and Medicine at the University of Amsterdam and served as a adolescent health consultant to international schools and organizations. Dr. Abraham is currently a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at George Washington University. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the International Association of Adolescent Health and a board member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. Tomas Silber, MD, is a graduate from the Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. For several decades, Dr. Silber was the director of the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program and director of the Ethics Program at Children’s National.
