Overview
I believe deeply in forming collaborative relationships with my patients to create shared plans of care that empower patients and families to obtain their best health. I enjoy practicing a full spectrum of primary care, including an emphasis on preventive health for both children and adults, newborn care and the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure and heart disease. I also enjoy performing minor office procedures such as skin mole biopsies and removals, joint injections (knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hip bursitis and trigger fingers), IUDs, toenail removals, skin lesion treatments, laceration repairs and splinting of sprains and minor fractures. I am partnering with Munira Maalimisaq, a family medicine nurse practitioner, in a shared practice. This partnership is a team-based approach and will help improve access to care. I am very comfortable in knowing that if you are not able to get in to see me personally, you will get the same level of care with Ms. Maalimisaq. Also, since we are in a partnership practice, you will have the opportunity to see someone who is working directly with me in managing your care. Ms. Maalimisaq and I are able to touch base throughout the day to make sure that your care is seamless. Additionally, if Ms. Maalimisaq is seeing you and I need to be pulled into the visit to discuss anything urgently, she will be able to bring me in if needed.
