Dr. Yoshiko Ogawa-Reel earned her medical degree at the University of Tokyo School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency through Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and fellowship in allergy and immunology through The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where she served as chief fellow. Board certified in allergy and immunology and internal medicine, Dr. Ogawa-Reel has practiced medicine since 2002. Her clinical interests are in allergy and immunology. Dr. Ogawa-Reel treats patients of all ages and speaks Japanese.Dr. Ogawa-Reel offers compassionate care in a friendly atmosphere to each patient. She believes in fostering a sincere and honest relationship with her patients and takes the time needed to answer questions and solve problems. Patients value her competency. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Ogawa-Reel has served as an assistant professor of medicine, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and chief of Allergy service at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Physicians and has been voted “Houston’s Top Doctors 2015” by H Texas Magazine and “Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars 2015” by Texas Monthly. Residents of North Houston, Dr. Ogawa-Reel and her husband have one child. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exercising and reading.
