Kenneth Noonan, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He’s also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.Dr. Noonan diagnoses and treats children with problems that affect the bones, muscles and joints any. These include fractures, tears, spine curvatures, leg length differences, birth deformities, tumors, bone infections and other injuries, disorders and diseases.To reduce pain and help his patients heal or regain function, Dr. Noonan uses the very latest techniques — either nonsurgical, surgical or a combination.During office visits, Dr. Noonan takes time to educate families about their child’s condition and outline treatment options. He cares for children of all ages, from birth through young adulthood, with musculoskeletal conditions affecting the arms, legs, feet, back and hips.Dr. Nemeth is one of the first nonsurgical pediatric orthopedists in the country. He has a special clinical interest in children with special health care needs. He helps correct issues such as toe walking (heels don’t touch the ground), in toeing (feet turn inward while walking), clubfoot (feet point down and turn in) and other walking abnormalities, while coordinating care with other specialists to enhance overall health and quality of life.He also works in the community to develop adaptive youth sports opportunities. His goal is to help all children be as active as possible.Dr. Nemeth believes in involving patients and their families in the decision-making process. He listens to learn about patients’ goals to personalize their treatment plans. Patrick Touhy, MD is a UW Health Kids pediatric orthopedic medicine doctor and an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He helps children with bone and joint problems, working closely with families to make sure kids get the care they need to grow strong and healthy.Dr. Touhy treats many conditions, including hip dysplasia, clubfoot, scoliosis and broken bones. He enjoys helping children from the time they are first diagnosed all the way through recovery. He is especially interested in hip dysplasia and clubfoot and does research to improve care for these conditions. Dr. Touhy focuses on treatments that don’t require surgery, which means he can help kids heal in ways that are gentle and effective.Dr. Touhy’s care philosophy is based on service. He believes in listening carefully to patients and families, working together to create a plan that fits their needs. When meeting a new patient, he takes time to build trust and make them feel comfortable. He knows that helping children means helping their families too, and he works hard to make sure everyone understands the care plan.Outside of work, Dr. Touhy enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
