Effects of Flumazenil on Recovery After Total Intravenous Anesthesia With Remimazolam in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hip Joint Surgery: a Prospective Randomized Controlled Study.

Summary: Remimazolam is a medication that has the advantage of a short half-life and reversibility with flumazenil. In clinical situations, the use of flumazenil for the reversal of sedation is common, but there is no precise indication for its administration. In this study, we aim to investigate the necessity of routine flumazenil use after administering remimazolam for intravenous anesthesia.

Effect of Remimazolam and Propofol on Postoperative Delirium in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hip and Knee Surgery

Summary: Remimazolam is an ultra-short acting benzodiazepine agonist which is used widely for general anesthesia and sedation. Remimazolam has several advantages. Remimazolam is rapidly metabolized by tissue esterase that it does not accumulate even after infusion for long periods of time. The presence of reversal agents (flumazenil) is also advantageous. Also, hemodynamic stability compared to propofol gi...

Comparison of Remimazolam Versus Propofol-based General Anesthesia on Postoperative Quality of Recovery in Patients Undergoing Ambulatory Upper Airway Surgery: a Randomized Controlled Trial

Summary: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of remimazolam and propofol on postoperative recovery time, complications, and safety in patients undergoing ambulatory upper airway surgery under general anesthesia.
