Dr. Akanda's journey to medicine began with a deep desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Originally from Dhaka, he was raised in the vibrant community of The Bronx, where his interest in healthcare blossomed. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, before completing his urology residency at Jefferson Health in New Jersey.
After honing his skills and expertise, Dr. Akanda felt a calling to serve the people of Hawai'i, joining Aloha Urology to provide care that is both compassionate and culturally sensitive. Outside of his practice, Dr. Akanda enjoys the simple pleasures of.
