Overview
Dr. Braiden “Brady” Heaps is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon serving the Dignity Health Medical Group and Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Hospital. Dr. Heaps specializes in operative and non-operative sports medicine injuries.He performs ultrasound guided shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle injections. He performs arthroscopic shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee sports injury reconstructions. He also specializes in Tommy John surgery, Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and meniscal/cartilage repairs.Dr. Heaps was born and raised in Provo, UT. He earned a BS in Biology from Brigham Young University. He was awarded multiple full-ride scholarships (Brigham Young, Joseph and Ruth Smith, and University Full Tuition). He completed his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in Houston, TX. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alphas for top academic performance. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in NY. Dr. Heaps was awarded the Todd J. Albert Leadership Award Winner in his Chief Year. He was the head team physician for Eagle Academy for Young Men in the New York City Public Schools Athletic League, and the league physician representative. Dr. Heaps completed a fellowship in orthopaedic sports surgery at the acclaimed Kerlan-Jobe clinic in Los Angeles, CA. He was an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Sparks, Los Angeles Black Storm, and the San Diego Gulls. Dr. Heaps has multiple primary author publications and national presentations in orthopaedic sports surgery.
