Overview
Michelle Uzor, MD, FACOG is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who joined Southern Crescent Women's Healthcare in early 2025. Dr. Uzor is deeply committed to patient education, advocacy, and ensuring women feel empowered to take charge of their health. She specializes in both high- and low-risk obstetrics, comprehensive fibroid management (including non-surgical and surgical treatments), PCOS care (including menstrual cycle regulation and weight loss), menopause management (including non-hormonal and hormonal options), and preventative women's health.
Dr. Uzor believes in a patient-centered approach, taking the time to listen, educate, and collaborate with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans. She is skilled in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and offers in-office treatments for various conditions, ensuring her patients receive high-quality care with convenience and comfort. She is particularly passionate about addressing healthcare disparities, especially in Georgia, where maternal health outcomes remain a critical issue.
Dr. Uzor completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish at the University of Georgia before earning her medical degree and completing her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. During her training, she served as Administrative Chief Resident and received multiple accolades, including the Excellence in Student Education and Most Compassionate Physician awards. Her experience at a high-risk, inner-city hospital strengthened her commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for women with complex medical needs.
A first-generation Nigerian-American, Dr. Uzor has called Georgia home for most of her life. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling the world with her fiancé, exploring Atlanta's vibrant food scene, practicing hot yoga, cycling, and experimenting with new recipes. She also loves spending time with her large family and her beloved dog.
