He specializes in spinal oncology and minimally invasive approaches to spinal disorders, including spine radiosurgery, and kyphoplasty. Dr. Gerszten is board-certified in neurological surgery. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. He completed a medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Gerszten completed a residency in neurosurgery at UPMC, and a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
