Dr. Sheila Chhutani

Dr. Sheila Chhutani has served the health care needs of the women of Dallas since 2007. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship-trained in advanced pelvic surgery. Dr. Chhutani focuses on normal and high-risk pregnancy care, menopause management, treatment of fibroids and minimally invasive gynecological procedures, including laparoscopic approaches using robot-assisted technology. In addition to her practice, Dr. Chhutani currently serves as chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and medical director of Women and Infant Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and as the Executive Medical Director for Women and Infant Services for Texas Health Resources. She also has served on numerous committees at the hospital and system level in advocacy of patient safety and surgical excellence.Dr. Chhutani earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where she was chief resident during her final year. She completed her fellowship training in advanced pelvic surgery at Texas Health Dallas. Dr. Chhutani also holds an MBA in healthcare management from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Legal Studies with emphasis in healthcare law and policy from Texas A&M University School of Law in Dallas. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dallas County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. Away from the office, Dr. Chhutani enjoys exercising, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
