ELEVATE High-Risk PCI Pivotal Study
Summary: The ELEVATE III Pivotal Study is a prospective, multi-center, open-label, interventional, randomized, controlled study with an active control group. The study is intended to assess the safety and efficacy of the Elevate™ percutaneous Left Ventricular Assist Device System in patients referred to high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (HR-PCI).
Modification of Coronary Calcium With Laser Based Intravascular Lithotripsy for Coronary Artery Disease (FRACTURE)
Summary: The FRACTURE Trial is a prospective, non-randomized, single-arm, multicenter, interventional study in US and international centers.
Coronary Calcified Nodule Management With Rotational Atherectomy Plus Shockwave Intravascular Lithotripsy vs. Intravascular Lithotripsy Alone: A Prospective, Randomized Trial (NODULE-SHOCK)
Summary: The NODULE-SHOCK trial is a prospective, investigator-initiated, single-center, randomized controlled trial designed to compare the efficacy of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) with or without rotational atherectomy (RA) in patients with coronary calcified nodules (Cohort A), and operator-determined vs maximum IVL pulses in patients with non-nodular severe coronary calcium (Cohort B).
AGENT DCB STANCE: AGENT Drug-Coated Balloon for STent AvoidANCE in PCI for De Novo Coronary Artery Disease
Summary: AGENT DCB STANCE is a prospective, multicenter, open-label, 1:1 randomized controlled study designed to assess the safety and effectiveness of a treatment strategy with the AGENT Drug-Coated Balloon compared to standard of care percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) treatment with drug eluting stent (DES) and/or balloon angioplasty in patients with de novo coronary lesions. Subjects must have a ...
Artificial Intelligence Based Timing, Infarct Size and Outcomes in Acute Coronary Occlusion Myocardial Infarction Without ST Elevation
Summary: The present study is practice-driven and merely observational and prospective. In clinical routine, patients who suffer from suspected ACS and do not show ST elevation in the ECG, different timing proposals in the guidelines and logistically driven differences lead to considerably variable timings in invasive coronary anatomy assessments. This handling may lead to larger infarct sizes when OMI is ...
REvascularization CHoices Among Under-Represented Groups Evaluation: The RECHARGE Trial - Women
Summary: This is a research study in women to compare the outcomes of two procedures that restore blood flow to the arteries of the heart. In one procedure the blockages are ballooned and then stented with a small wire mesh tube through a small incision in the wrist or the groin. The other procedure is an open-heart operation in which healthy blood vessels from inside the chest, leg, and/or forearm are use...
REvascularization CHoices Among Under-Represented Groups Evaluation: The RECHARGE Trial - Minorities
REvascularization CHoices Among Under-Represented Groups Evaluation: The RECHARGE Trial - Minorities
Summary: This is a research study in minorities to compare the outcomes of two procedures that restore blood flow to the arteries of the heart. In one procedure the blockages are ballooned and then stented with a small wire mesh tube through a small incision in the wrist or the groin. The other procedure is an open-heart operation in which healthy blood vessels from inside the chest, leg, and/or forearm ar...
The Canadian CABG or PCI in Patients With Ischemic Cardiomyopathy Trial
Summary: The Canadian CABG or PCI in Patients With Ischemic Cardiomyopathy (STICH3C) trial is a prospective, unblinded, international multi-center randomized trial of 754 subjects enrolled in approximately 45 centers comparing revascularization by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) vs. coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in patients with multivessel/left main (LM) coronary artery disease (CAD) and...
Target Investigation of Residual Inflammation After Non-ST/ ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome - TIRANA (ACS) Prospective REGISTRY
Summary: This prospective observational study aims to evaluate the prognostic significance of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a predictor of mortality in patients following an episode of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). Despite advancements in interventional cardiology and medical therapy, mortality remains significant in post-ACS patients, and early risk stratification is essential for optimizin...
CARDIOINSPIRE - Effectiveness of Adding Inspiratory Muscle Training to a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program for People With Ischemic Heart Disease Revascularized by Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty.
Summary: Myocardial Ischemia (MI) consists of the narrowing of the internal lumen of the arteries that perfuse the heart. As the section of the artery decreases, so does the blood flow and therefore the supply of oxygen to the myocardium, which can cause angina pectoris or even an acute myocardial infarction. It is the leading cause of death from cardiovascular disease, responsible for 9.44 million deaths ...
Multivessel and Left Main Coronary Artery Stenting in Comparison With Surgical Revascularization in Patients With Non ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome. Prospective, Clinical Randomized Trial (The MILESTONE Trial)
Summary: MILESTONE STUDY is dedicated to problems connected with patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and/or with left main narrowing who present symptoms of acute ischemia. For such kind of patients according to current ACC/AHA guidelines CABG (surgical revascularization) is recommended as a treatment method. In comparison with CABG, recent studies have shown that PCI (percutaneous coronary i...
Selective Intracoronary Hypothermia as a Prevention of Reperfusion Injury in ST-elevation Myocardial Infarction.
Summary: Acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation is often accompanied by a totally occluded coronary artery. Which has deleterious effects on heart muscle. Primary percutaneous coronary intervention is the most effective mode of treatment for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. Despite the restoration of the blood flow, 30-60% of patients develop microvascular obstruction, wh...
