Dr. Markos is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, bringing more than 30years of medical expertise to his patients in the Conroe and Woodlands area. Hespecializes in comprehensive women's health care, ensuring accessible and high-qualityservices for the community. Dr. Markos considers it a privilege to be a part of one of themost important moments of a family’s life, recognizing that every patient is a uniqueindividual with distinct care needs. He primarily practices at the St. Luke’s The WoodlandsHospital campus.His medical journey began with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistryfrom Houston Baptist University. Dr. Markos earned his Doctorate of Medicine from theUniversity of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his residency in OB/GYNcare at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, Parkland Hospital. Originally fromRomania, where he holds Hungarian nationality, Dr. Markos has found a home in Texas,where his dedication to learning and patient well-being has shaped his compassionateapproach to medicine throughout his three decades of practice.Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Markos is deeply involved in the medical community. Heis a valued member and former President of the Montgomery County Medical Society andactively participates in the Texas Medical Association, demonstrating his commitment toadvancing health care standards and outcomes. Dr. Markos previously served as Chief ofStaff and Chief of OB/GYN at Conroe Regional Hospital, where he played a pivotal role inleadership and patient care, always inspiring trust through honesty and demonstratingcourage in the face of inequity.Inspired by a deep sense of humankindness, Dr. Markos's care philosophy centers ontreating each patient with respect and personalized attention, believing that every individualdeserves to feel understood and valued as part of our mission to improve health. Away fromhis medical practice, Dr. Markos cherishes quality time with his family, particularly enjoyinghis grandchildren. He also embraces the outdoors with camping and boating, explores thearts through theatrical performances, and engages in DIY projects. Fluent in five languages,he finds joy in traveling and experiencing diverse cultures, continuously connecting with ourshared humanity.
