Dr. Menon loves caring for children of all ages. From guiding parents through the exciting newborn and infancy period, all the way to helping children and adolescents navigate the trials of growing up, he enjoys every facet of the journey, ultimately providing children with an instrumental role in their healthcare as they develop their autonomy. He loves having families rely on him for support as their children grow and develop, establishing their own unique perspectives on the world.Dr. Menon joined Forest Lane Pediatrics in 2019 after completing his pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. During residency he received the “White Hat Award”, for which his colleagues selected him as the pediatrician to whom they would take their own children. He received his Medical Degree from UT Southwestern in Dallas in 2016, and prior to that, graduated with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Menon is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas.Dr. Menon grew up in Plano, and currently lives with his wife in Victory Park near Uptown Dallas. Dr. Chad R. Smith was born in Irving and grew up in McKinney and Hillsboro. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 1996. He also earned a Master of Science in Entomology from Texas A&M in 1999. Dr. Smith worked as a research associate in the Department of Entomology before attending medical school. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2006. He completed his pediatric residency at UT-Houston Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Smith has been in practice since 2009 and joined Centennial Pediatrics in December 2017.Dr Smith lives in Allen with his wife, Allison, and their three children. Dr. Diana Dickschat joined Forest Lane Pediatrics in 2011, and she primarily sees patients in the Frisco Main Street office. She is proud to have graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. Dr. Diana earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and then completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Following residency, Dr. Diana was selected to serve an additional year at Children’s Medical Center as Pediatric Chief Resident.She is a board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Texas Medical Association, and a member of the Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Smita Mahapatra is a board-certified pediatrician that joined Forest Lane Pediatrics in 2019 after working for 4 years as a newborn/pediatric hospitalist in Indianapolis and Houston. Although she is originally from the Midwest and completed all of her education and residency training there, she is happy to call the Dallas area home now.Coming from a very large family, she has always loved spending time with children and feels privileged to be able to provide personal and medical support for children and their families in any way that she can. She also loves being a part of her community and has participated in many volunteer activities through the years including Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Community Leadership Mentor Programs, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, and various children’s health fairs.Dr. Mahapatra resides in the west Plano area.
