Dr. Todd A. Fowler
Overview
Dr. Todd Fowler says he was first inspired to become a sports medicine physician through his own experiences as an athlete. “I was injured multiple times and sometimes didn’t get the best care. I wanted to do better for athletes with injuries.” He says what he enjoys most is seeing patients get back to the sports and activities they love as soon as possible. Listening to them is one of the keys to successful treatment. “It helps me understand their injury and find out what they want to get back to doing.” When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Fowler serves the community as the founding member of Johnson City’s Morning Rotary Club, a board member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, and as team physician for several local high school, college and professional sports teams. He loves living here in the Appalachian Highlands where he and his wife have raised their five children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and traveling.
