I have always been very service-oriented, and being able to help others in need really allows me to find my purpose. I also consider myself a lifelong learner, and in the field of medicine, it is a necessity to be able to keep up-to-date with all of the fast-paced changes that constantly occur. | Community involvement | I have been very active in the community serving both at the local fire company and ambulance station. I have been an active member at South Cass Citizens’ Fire Company (Primrose) and Minersville EMS for the past 15 years. Fire and EMS calls provide a much different environment compared to a controlled office or hospital setting, and they allow me to be involved in the initial stabilization and treatment of patients on some of their worst days with the hope of making things better. I am also a lector at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Minersville. | Personal interests | I have what I consider to be a second career as a soldier in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
