Osteochondroma is a noncancerous overgrowth of cartilage and bone that occurs during childhood. The overgrowth of cartilage and bone usually occurs near the growth plate of the bones in the shoulder blade, pelvis, or leg. An osteochondroma can affect the normal growth of the bone.
What are the symptoms of Osteochondroma?
Symptoms of osteochondroma include a hard, painless lump that does not move; muscle soreness; lower than average height; a leg or arm that is longer than the other; pain with movement; numbness or tingling; circulation problems; a crooked arm or leg; a displaced hip; and irritation or swelling around the affected area.
