Dr. William Ciccone

Dr. William J. Ciccone II is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. He joined Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2010 and is an active contributor to the academic community. He serves on national orthopedic committees, reviews research for leading journals, and is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He was named a “Master in Shoulder Arthroscopy” by the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), where he teaches advanced arthroscopic techniques to surgeons and residents. He also serves as a clinical instructor for the University of Colorado Physician Assistant Program and Rocky Vista University. Dr. Ciccone earned a B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and graduated with honors from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Pennsylvania State University, Hershey Medical Center, and his fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. His sports medicine experience includes serving as a team physician for the Colorado Rockies AAA Sky Sox, Regis University, and as medical director for the Rocky Mountain State Games, State Games of America, and events at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.
