Dr. Leland completed fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and Orthopedic Trauma at University Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden, Germany. He subsequently returned to Detroit as Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery in the Department of Orthopedics at Wayne State University and Chief of Orthopedics at the VA Medical Center where he was twice awarded the Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Leland currently serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado and received the Colonel Alan Bucknell Award for Teacher of the Year in 2020.
