I was born in Vietnam and raised in the United States. Following my undergraduate study, I postponed my dream of becoming a physician to serve as a missionary. As it turned out, that was my initial bedside training. Later, my allergy training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital led to a realization that caring for children with allergies would be my life’s work.
