Overview
Dr. Gomaa obtained her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Gomaa’s professional interests include minimally invasive surgery, health literacy and health equity.
Of note, Dr. Gomaa is fluent in Arabic and has a special interest in immigrant and Muslim health. Outside of her work as a physician, she is a writer. Her work has appeared in Time, ABC News, NBC News, Los Angeles Review of Books, and more. She has admitting privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
