Why I Became a Medical Provider: As an athlete for the most of my life, including my time at Stanford and beyond, I became interested in orthopedics and especially the lower extremity which lead me to podiatry. As a physician, I am able to serve others in such an extraordinary way. I enjoy the relationships, conversations, academics, and diversity that patient care poses. Podiatrist Dr. Byunghee Kevin Kim was born and raised in Busan, Korea, and his family moved to San Francisco, CA in 1993 seeking higher education. Dr. Kim graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a major in biology and minor in applied mathematics. He continued his education at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, where he completed medical school with honors bestowed by the Pi Delta National Honor Society.
