Overview
Dr. Lorraine E. McKinney, a Texas native, holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Prairie View A&M University and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, respectively. From an early age, Dr. McKinney had a fervent desire to serve in the medical field and to become a doctor. Discovering that a family member was newly diagnosed with diabetes, she learned more about the opportunity to serve in medicine through podiatry. With further research, Dr. McKinney found that podiatry is a specialty of medicine that shares a special connection to those with diabetes and/or poor circulation. Dr. McKinney enjoys assisting patients with various foot concerns, particularly preventing lower extremity amputations. She is board certified through the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry – Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds and Diabetic Footwear.
