
Overview
Dr. Landeck is a pediatric cardiologist and director of Echocardiography at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. He joined the hospital staff in 2021. He was most recently the Director of the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit and interim clinical director of Echocardiography at Children’s Hospital Colorado, and an associate professor of Pediatrics in the University of Colorado – Denver School of Medicine. Dr. Landeck has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and given many talks nationally. He is also a reviewer for several medical journals. He is very active with the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Landeck earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric internship and residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital/Texas A&M University School of Medicine in Corpus Christi. He completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship with advanced training in imaging at University of Virginia Health System/University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He also earned a Master of Science in clinical research from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

He was previously a pediatric cardiologist and medical director for Child Cardiology Associates in Fairfax, Virginia, and chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology of the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He has performed device closures of over 1,500 defects. He was the first physician in the United States to use a novel transcatheter suture delivery system and is leading a multicenter, multinational trial on that device.
