I am a pediatric cardiologist and help care for children with congenital and acquired heart conditions. I have advanced training in non-invasive imaging modalities, including echocardiography, MRI, and CT to provide accurate and detailed assessments of cardiovascular health in children. These tools are invaluable in evaluating heart conditions without the need for invasive procedures, making them ideal for our youngest patients. I’m a pediatric cardiologist with a focus on interventional cardiology. We try to find less invasive ways to treat congenital heart disease. We’ve made tremendous advances in the last decade in treating diseases that used to require open heart surgery. We can now treat these with a much less invasive approach. In addition to seeing patients in the clinic, I do procedures in the cath lab like closing atrial septal defects and certain valve replacements. At Duke we collaborate and work well together using a team approach to help our patients. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children and getting outdoors.
