Dr. Nyhan's research interests include the underlying mechanisms of vascular aging. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and is a reviewer for the Anesthesiology journal. He is a member of the Faculty Senate at Johns Hopkins. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Association of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
