Overview
TaTanisha Smith, MD was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. She then earned her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. She completed her residency at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville as well. Dr. Smith is a board-certified pediatrician by the American Board of Pediatrics and is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She transitioned into entrepreneurship and opened A Brighter Day Pediatrics in 2018. When not in the office, Dr. Smith enjoys rediscovering hobbies as an empty nester, with a son in college. Her primary interest is in childhood advocacy. She is also interested in childhood obesity, eliminating health disparities, and public health.
