I am very fortunate to get to work in a profession that I love. I went into medicine initially because of my interest in science and the incredible complexity of the human body. I then found my home in primary care where I can follow patients long-term, develop relationships, and be the true coordinator of all of their health care needs. My favorite part of practicing medicine is applying medical evidence within the context of an individual patient’s goals in order to achieve the best outcomes. I moved to Durham for my internal medicine training at Duke, and my husband and I decided to stay here to work and raise a family together.
