Overview
Dr. Ajay S. Padaki is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of shoulder, hip, knee and elbow injuries. He completed his prestigious surgical residency at Columbia University s Orthopaedic Surgery Department, where he served as an executive chief resident in his final year while helping care for Columbia University and Fordham University athletes. He concluded his training with a fellowship in the historic shoulder surgery and sports medicine division at the University of California, where he served as an assistant team physician to both Major League Baseball s San Francisco Giants and the University of California.
His research interests include investigations into advancing treatment and novel surgical techniques for ACL reconstructions, shoulder replacements, shoulder dislocations, cartilage/joint preservation and hip arthroscopy. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts and has presented his research internationally. Dr. Padaki resides in Brooklyn and enjoys playing basketball, golf, tennis and squash in his free time. He has served on research and medical missions to Central and South America.
