She spent most of her childhood and early adulthood in the Midwest and Northeast. Being an avid hiker, she gravitated to Puyallup because of the amazing green outdoor spaces in Washington and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.Her practice interests include treating knee, hip, and shoulder arthritis along with lower extremity fractures and trauma. She completed a Joint Replacement Fellowship at Harvard University (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) in Boston, MA, where she learned from the best joint replacement surgeons in the country about not only the latest techniques in total and partial joint replacement but also how to take care of complications of joint replacement surgery. She is also experienced in trauma, fractures and work related injures of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Dr. Vajapey contributes to the latest innovations in orthopedic surgery and actively researches new treatment methods for arthritis.
