Overview
Reena Tahilramani, MD, is a general surgeon specializing in colon and rectal surgery. She treats conditions of the lower gastrointestinal tract which includes your colon, rectum, and anus. She performs an extensive spectrum of procedures that include bowel resection (for colon and rectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn's and ulcerative colitis), colonoscopies, anal surgery (for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, warts, abscess) as well as treatment for rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence (placement of sacral nerve stimulators). After medical school, she completed a residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
