Overview
My goal is to improve the health of children locally and globally with acquired and congenital heart disease. I have a specific interest in non-invasive assessment of cardiac function in fetal to adult patients with congenital heart disease. Locally, I work at Duke University Hospital and Duke Children's Health Center. Globally, I work with Duke Global Health Institute's partnerships in Western Kenya.

Clinical research consists of overseeing clinical studies of patients undergoing new treatments and therapies, and publishing articles in peer reviewed medical journals. I am a member of the Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center team, providing critical care services to patients with congenital heart diseases. I am the director of Duke Pediatric Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging and I am an attending physician in the Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center. I am an American citizen who was born in England and raised in Canada. I have lived in the United States since I received my undergraduate education at Cornell University.
