She moved to Oakland California, where she attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine. After receiving her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, she moved to Ohio, where she completed her comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency training at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland Ohio.
