Since 1986, Dr. Bieber has been practicing orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Bieber is interested in all areas of orthopaedics, with special interest in reconstruction, trauma, arthroscopy, and sports medicine of the upper extremity, including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Bieber is a consultant for hand and upper extremity surgery at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Dawn LaPorte is a professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. LaPorte is a Member-at-Large of the American Society of Surgery for the Hand (ASSH) and serves on multiple ASSH committees, including the Diversity Committee and the Resident Education Committee.
