Overview

Dr. Christopher Dai is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in surgical critical care. Since 2018, his focus has been in the areas of trauma, open vascular, and common/complex laparoscopic surgical care for acute and elective surgeries as well as the non-operative management of trauma patients. Additionally, he is certified in the use of minimally invasive da Vinci robotic surgeries that promote healing and reduce recovery times. During the course of his work, Dr. Dai has developed quality improvement protocols to reduce surgical site infections following acute care surgery and protocols for catheter insertion with regard to traumatic rib fracture patients to decrease opioid use during hospitalization. He earned his medical degree from Touro University-Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson. He completed his general surgery residency at Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Ore., before doing his surgical critical care fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. Dr. Dai is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association and American Medical Association. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, video gaming and practicing martial arts.
