Dr. John J. Eick

Dr. Emerson graduated cum laude from Loyola University, New Orleans with a degree in Chemistry. Prior to starting medical school, he spent a year conducting research at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Emerson graduated from Midwestern University with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete an internship and radiology residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Emerson completed his fellowship training in neuroradiology at Northwestern University. Dr. Emerson is a board certified radiologist, with a special interest in Neuroradiology. He is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Tulane University Medical School. Among his numerous professional obligations, Dr. Kalmar has served as the Chairman of the Radiology Section of the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Kalmar speaks Swedish, French and Hungarian and reads German and Russian. He is also a former World Champion and an Olympic Bronze Medal medal winner in Saber Fencing and an International and Olympic Fencing Judge for the USA.
