Overview
Dr. Lechtzin is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician. He directs the Adult CF program and the neuromuscular pulmonary clinic at Johns Hopkins and is an expert in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, pulmonary complications of neuromuscular disease and the care of critically ill patients in the Medical ICU. Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center
Dr. Natalie West is a pulmonary specialist in the Greater Baltimore area who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cystic fibrosis. Her focus also includes the treatment of interstitial lung disease, lung transplantation, COPD, asthma, and pulmonary hypertension. She also manages patients in the medical intensive care unit with acute respiratory failure caused by asthma, pneumonia, COPD, and the acute respiratory distress syndrome, as well as other conditions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, pulmonary embolism, diabetic ketoacidosis, and shock from sepsis, hypovolemia, and heart disease. Dr. West also serves as the associate program director of the Johns Hopkins Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program and plays an active role in recruitment of new fellows and mentoring fellows in the division. She received her A.B. from Harvard University and earned her M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She also trained as a fellow in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins and served as the Chief Fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
