Dr. Anderson was the editor of both editions (2000, 2010) of Care of the Young Athlete, a textbook on sports medicine published jointly by the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Anderson has served as Chair of the Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness for the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Examination Committee for the American Board of Pediatrics, the Physician Director for the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainer Association and on the Medical Advisory Committee for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
