Ear cancer is a rare malignancy that can occur on the inside or outside of the ear. Most ear cancers occur on the skin outside of the ear. There are several types of ear cancer, including squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, melanoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, ceruminous adenoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma. Some ear cancers may also involve the surrounding bone or other structures of the head and neck.
