Mona Kaleem, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. She is a fellowship trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Kaleem was born and raised in Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics with double minors in Biology and Chemistry at Smith College prior to entering the Howard University College of Medicine. There, she was a Trustee Scholar and awardee of the Malcolm X Scholarship due to her leadership in community service.
