Overview
I attended medical school in North Dakota, having moved there as a teenager when my father was stationed there in the Air Force. I went on to OBGYN residency in Grand Rapids Michigan. I started practice in Olympia in 1990 coming directly from my residency training. I have had the privilege of now over 30 years in practice in the same community. I have raised my 4 children here, and have never my 10th grandchild coming in 2026. I have practiced full scope OBGYN for my entire career. I have delivered thousands of babies, and I have multiple years of surgical experience. I have taught residents and medical students, mentored younger surgeons, and have been honored to win several teaching awards over the years. I served on the physician leadership team at Providence St. Peter’s hospital in the past, serving as medical staff president, as well as serving on the governing board of the hospital for a 9 year term. I currently serve as the Medical Director for women’s services for Providence Southwest region. I truly enjoy all of the roles I have held over the years, but the love of direct patient care is my greatest passion.
