He then obtained his medical degree from University of California, Irvine, where he was a Regents Scholar. Dr. Kearns completed an internship in general surgery and a residency training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of California, San Diego. During his residency in otolaryngology, he served as Chief Resident.Dr. Kearns is a fellow of the American Academy of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the California and Sacramento Societies of Otolaryngology. He is affiliated with Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmichael and Sutter Hospital in Roseville.
